Yateley school founded in 1968 as the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Hampshire, the school is situated in Yateley, a pleasant town bordering the Hampshire countryside but within reach of west London, Reading, Camberley, and Farnham. Its modern buildings are well maintained and well equipped and set in a landscaped 45-acre site. The school is over-subscribed, with 1.2 applications per place. Facilities include a swimming pool, fitness suite and tennis courts. Separate sciences are offered at GCSE and Spanish, Latin and Classical civilisation are taught to A-level. Art and drama are outstanding. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is offered. The school has ten modern science laboratories, five networked computer suites, a music suite, two drama studios, a new dance studio, sports hall, gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness suite, specialist suites for technology and modern specialised classroom suites for all subjects. Its outstanding sports facilities include: swimming pool and playing fields. The school aims to help pupils to develop personal maturity, confidence and self-esteem while acquiring knowledge and skills relevant to their adult lives.
