Background:
Leesland celebrated its centenary in 1994. There are 'extensive' grounds which are 'well developed for curriculum and leisure'. 'Excellent' links have been established with the health sevice and police who take pasrt in a planned programme as part of the curriculum. There are further strong community links with Barnardo's, the church and local supermarkets. The school is 'actively involved' in local sports leagues. Leesland is 'very strong' on extra-curricular activities and are 'strong' musically with frequent musical productions.
