City of Portsmouth Girls' School is a secondary school for girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 16. The school has superb accommodation facilities with music practice rooms, additional office space and a new changing room for the dance studio. The school endeavours to encourage a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Many competitive activities are organised through the house system and there is an impressive range of clubs activities. The physical education department has clubs for basketball, netball, aerobics, hockey, football and badminton. Visits are also arranged to athletics events and to cross-country events. A wide range of musical activities are provided ranging from choirs and orchestras to individual lessons. The school aims to provide a safe and pleasant environment for effective learning.
