Background:

Church Crookham Junior School is a non-denominational school catering for girls and boys from seven to 11 years. It is maintained by the education department of Hampshire county council. The accommodation is contained within two linked buildings and is on two-storeys. It comprises classrooms, entrance hall, offices, staff room, library and a school hall. One of the teaching areas has a kiln for pottery. The grounds of the school are extensive and consist of an all-weather playing surface, a large field, ball wall, shaded seating area, an adventure trail and a trim trail for sports activities. Children visit various local and more distant sites as part of their curriculum studies. The school has a wide range of clubs and activities, which are offered to its children. These include choir, drama, netball, athletics, tag rugby, tag football, engineering and model making. The school aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment where each child can work to and achieve his or her potential.
