Background:
Swanmore is a mixed ability 11-16 comprehensive college. The college is situated in an attractive rural setting on the southern edge of Swanmore village. It is two miles from Bishops Waltham, approximately three miles from Knowle village and parts of Fareham and 13 miles from Winchester. The college possesses specialist facilities in all curriculum areas including modern information and communication technology suites and classroom hardware. There are also an extensive information and study library centre, drama and music studios, fully equipped stage lighting and sound facilities, a new sports hall and a gymnasium. The buildings are set in spacious grounds, which once all construction work has been completed, will be landscaped and redesigned. The college has achieved the following awards: Sportsmark, Investor in People status. The college is friendly, supporting and caring and aims to create a sense of responsibility for the physical environment of the college.
