Background:
Priory School is a flourishing mixed community school 11 to 16 with sports college status located on a compact site in the northern part of Southsea. In September 2004 there were 1320 pupils on roll. The school has ample specialist accommodation including a block of nine science laboratories and the technology building which houses, on separates floors, mathematics, art and design technology (resistant materials and food technology). The school has a strong tradition of educational excursions both within this country and abroad and there is an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities. The school aims to provide calm, positive and purposeful environment.
