Background:
Owslebury Primary School was built in 1976 and is situated in the centre of the small village of Owlesbury, about seven miles south-east of Winchester. The school has its own pond, developing environmental areas, and field space for a football pitch. The main building has two classroom areas used by reception, junior and infant classes, while a temporary classroom is used by the upper junior class. A large staffroom is also used for teaching. Other facilities include a library and a small hall. Extra-curricular activities include football, netball, cricket, athletics, rounders, guitar, recorder, woodwind and craft, while keyboards and swimming are available for a fee. The school aims to create a secure and happy environment in which all children have the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
