Background:

Mount Pleasant Junior School is large enough to give children the wide range of educational experiences. It is also small enough for children to feel that they are part of a family community. In addition to well equipped classrooms, the spacious and beautifully maintained building, the school offers an attractive library, computer suite with many computers, a cookery room, a music room, a large hall with a floodlit and curtained stage and equipment for gymnastics and games, a home-school link room, a school office, a large playground, an environmental area with a pond and a small fenced green area with grass, trees and a special play cabin. The school runs a homework club each day after-school. Other clubs include football, badminton, cricket, netball, recorders, drumming, chess, gardening, library and computer club. The school aims to ensure that every child achieves his or her full potential.
