St Alban's Church of England Aided Primary School has a hall, two playgrounds, a large field and an environmental area. It has an orchestra, a training band and two choirs, and children are offered a wide range of instrumental tuition. There are hockey and football teams, a drama club, and community links, including an association with Portsmouth Football Club. The school is linked to a church school in Ghana. The school council organises termly charity events, and the home-school association organises fundraising. The school has a computer suite and interactive whiteboards.
