Background:
Ringwood Junior School was built in 1910 on a very pleasant site of 2.8 acres close to the town centre. The school has undergone an extensive remodelling programme. The site consists of three main teaching blocks, a large hall, well-stocked library, drama or music room and welcoming reception area. In addition there is a five-acre playing field, two large playgrounds and an attractive garden area including a pond for environmental studies. A wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include athletics, netball, football, cricket, rugby, gymnastics, basketball and hockey. The school aims to provide a welcoming environment that fosters good communication and partnership with parents.
