Background:
Situated in the Victorian residential centre of Woolston, the school is at the 'heart of the community' and contains a bell tower as its focal point. Housed in four buildings, three of Victorian origin, the school has a huge tarmac playground but no grass area. There are several extra-curricular sport and games clubs including tennis and chess, as well as school netball and football teams. The school also has two computer sites and 'leads the area' in ICT. With an orchestra and choir that have existed for many years, Ludlow also has an 'excellent' tradition of music. The parents' organisation has been recently revived and offers 'exciting and valuable support' to school. Parents are kept in touch with school through a weekly newsletter.
